Beschreibung

Der Versuch ein Word-Dokument (DOC, DOCX), eine PDF-Datei oder eine PowerPoint-Datei (PPTX) direkt im SharePoint bzw. im Browser mit den Office-Web-Apps (OWA) zu öffnen scheitert mit den folgenden Fehlermeldungen (je nach Dokumenttyp und Sprachversion):

Die Excel-Dateien verhalten sich anders. Bei XLS-Dateien wird ein „Serverfehler in der Anwendung /x“ bzw. ein „Laufzeitfehler“ angezeigt.
Die XLSX-Dateien werden korrekt im Browser angezeigt (denn für die Anzeige ist der in SharePoint integrierte „Excel Services“ zuständig und nicht OWA). Wird eine XLSX-Datei im Browser zur Bearbeitung geöffnet, dann wird dieselbe Fehlermeldung angezeigt wie für die XLS-Datei.
Das Problem betrifft nicht alle Dokumente. Die Dokumente, die in anderen Sitecollections bzw. subsites liegen kann man offensichtlich problemlos öffnen.
Was auffällt ist, dass die Dokumente, die nicht geöffnet werden können, in einer Unterseite (Subsite) liegen, die ein Leerzeichen in der URL enthält. Beispiel: „http://sharepoint-site/subsite test„

In den ULS Logs (auf den OWA-Servern im Pfad „C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OfficeWebApps\Data\Logs\ULS„) findet man folgende Einträge:

Fix

Nach dem SharePoint-Update März 2017 CU wird das Öffnen von Dokumenten verhindert, wenn die Webadresse der Site Leerstellen enthält.

Evtl. ist der Fehler auch schon durch reguläre SharePoint-Updates (PUs) beseitigt.

Websiteeinstellungen einer Unterseite - Aussehen und Verhalten - Titel, Beschreibung und Logo - Schnellstart - Leiste für häufig verwendete Links - Strukturansicht - Aussehen ändern - SharePoint 2013

Im Bereich „Websiteadresse“ URL-Namen so ändern, dass der keine Leerschritte mehr enthält.

Encountered unexpected character - Websiteeinstellungen - Titel, Beschreibung und Logo - Websiteadresse - URL-Name - Test_Unterseite - SharePoint 2013

Danach sollten sich die Dokumente mit OWA (direkt im Browser) öffnen lassen.
